Group and centre based activities Service

Our Group and Centre based activities will include excursion and days out to places such as Inflatable World, Bounce, Gorge Wildlife, Monarto Safari Park, swimming, etc. Additional costs extra Utopia Care has a 12 seater Minibus to use for excursions and outings such as these.

Clients engage in both centre-based and community activities and are encouraged to contribute to weekly activity planning. Programs facilitate practical learning opportunities for life skill development and support clients to explore their personal interests.

Reachability Centre Based Activities and Groups promote socialisation while offering both worker facilitated and self-directed capacity building activities. Participants are welcome to undertake activities independently within the space, participate in facilitated workshops or a combination of both. All activities are participant directed and only limited to participant’s imaginations.

Accessible and Convenient

Our programs are flexible, so you are welcome to come along on whichever day suits you. Conveniently located, our Hubs also provide easy access to other services you require. Transport can be negotiated depending on your personal circumstances.

Improved Hubs are fully accessible and our friendly, highly-qualified team are on hand to help with anything you need.

Whether engaging in social activities, making new friends or learning different skills, there is truly something for everyone at Improved Disability Services community hubs.

Program activities include:

• Life Skills development – eg: grocery shopping, cooking, personal care, gardening, household tasks
• Improved Health & Wellbeing – eg: health & wellbeing awareness and education, group fitness activities, walks, swimming, yoga
• Literacy and Numeracy – eg: tailored programs to suit learning ability, money handling, budgeting, reading and writing skills
• Recreational – eg: ten pin bowling, music, dancing, picnics, art and craft
• Community access – eg: library, music works, community events, shopping, museum, art gallery, volunteer groups.

Our Community Hubs offer an inclusive environment and the opportunity for learning, friendship, growth and most importantly, fun!

Enjoy a wide range of social experiences and activities including sport, arts and craft, music and special activities such as trivia, discos and day trips. We can also help you to develop your skills with classes in cooking, job skills and money handling.
